Amazon is working on a Smartphone and they
will release it in the fourth quarter of 2012, According to a Citigroup analyst.
Amazon officials did not put down any comments about their upcoming Smartphone.
Mark Mahaney who
is a researcher of Citigroup wrote: "Based on our supply chain channel
checks in Asia ... we believe an Amazon Smartphone will be launched in the fourth
quarter of 2012." Citigroup believes that the Amazon Smartphone will run
the Texas Instrument OMAP 4 processor and is probable to have a dual-mode radio
from Qualcomm.
Citigroup even recommended
the device manufacture cost would be $150
to $170, and might be sold for about that amount.
